Selenium doesn’t support the report generation. Without reporting, all the hard work that you put into writing and executing your test cases will be lost when there’s no way to track the information and communicate it with others on your team.
Report generation is one of the major and important topic in the test automation and It is the only the evidence for the test execution status. There is no single tool available in the market to generate a report for multiple runs of NUnit results. Ideally all test scripts will not run successfully in one go, so automation engineer needs to run failed cases in multiple runs. At the end of the execution, multiple results get stored into a folder afterwards he/she needs to generate a summary report then sharing a single report to the team is a big challenge!!
Our reporting console is a light weight reporting tool to generate a single html for multiple execution of NUnit xml files. The nice thing about this is that you don’t have to write any scripts or additional code to get the report.
You also have the option of a detailed report or summary report by deleting duplicate failed cases and retain passed cases, depending on which you prefer. A generated file called report.htm contains a complete report generated automatically with information for errors and system information and status log. The emailable-report.htm is more of a summary that shows the scores for each test case that can be embedded and shared easily. The report that actually looks good while conveying information since it organizes aspects like timelines, graphs, and defects for you, so this is another great option for creating and mailing.
